Settlano (“the app”) is built in Malta. The short version: your financial data stays on your phone.
What we store, and where
Everything you enter (income, expenses, invoices, receipts you scan, your profile settings) is stored locally on your device. We run no servers, we have no accounts, and we cannot see your data.
What we do not do
- No bank connections. The app never asks for or receives bank credentials.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs. No advertising identifiers.
- Receipt photos are read by your device’s own text recognition and are not uploaded, stored, or shared by the app.
Purchases
Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple. To manage entitlements (activating Pro across your devices, restoring purchases), the app uses RevenueCat, which receives purchase receipts and an anonymous identifier. This is not linked to your name or identity by the app and is used solely to make your purchase work. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Notifications
Deadline and habit reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Nothing about them leaves your phone.
Backups
You can export an encrypted backup of your data (AES-256; only your passphrase opens it) and store it wherever you choose. iOS device backups (iCloud/Finder) may include the app’s data under Apple’s backup encryption, controlled by your device settings, not by us.
This website
settlano.com uses no analytics, no cookies and no third-party scripts. If you join the beta waitlist, the email address you submit is sent to us through our email provider (Resend) and used only to send TestFlight invites and beta updates, never shared, never sold, with no cookie or tracking pixel involved. Ask to be removed at any time and we delete it.
